The Shimata-Dominguez symbol is a stylised ‘Yin-Yang’ representing the merged companies. Inside the ‘Yin-Yang’ are the very abstract letters ‘S’ and ‘D,’ which together double as a Japanese Phoenix – ‘Hi No Tori,’ symbolising the resurrection of Earth’s healthy population in the Off-World colonies.
The Kanji reads ‘Shimata-Dominguez (Inc).’
