Rocket Surgeon

Rocket scientist. Brain surgeon. Sometime in the 1980s this pair became the touchstone to represent challenging jobs that require a lot of focus and intelligence to master. That’s been over 25 years now. Do we have a new set of “smart jobs” today? Maybe forensic investigator? Quantum physicist? Virology forecaster? Microphysiologist? Non-Euclidean geometry milk delivery guy? (Yeah, okay, we made that last one up.)
